White stevia powder (stevia extract)

Wild harvested and 100% natural, Stevia is a calorie-free sweetener, which in small amounts can add a sweet taste to your food. The sweetness of Stevia is mainly due to an element extracted from the plant, Rebaudioside A, which is found in this powder.

This product is recommended in diets for people who cannot consume sugar. It is indeed an excellent alternative, 15 times sweeter in proportion than sugar!

Directions for use

Sprinkle the white soluble stevia powder in liquids, food or cooking preparations.

20mg of powder (one tip of a knife - or 1/10 of a teaspoon - is equivalent to two pieces of sugar (7g). A good tip of a knife is therefore suitable for pancake batter, for example.

The long history of stevia

The Guarani Indians have used Stevia Rebaudiana for centuries as a sweetener and as a medicinal plant.

In the early 1970s, the Japanese began to cultivate the plant and produce extracts to replace artificial sweeteners (cyclamate or saccharin). The liquid extracted from the leaves of Stevia Rebaudiana and the purified stevioside have been used as sweeteners and marketed in Japan since 1977.
